Each year the market area of downtown Roanoke is turned into 19th century England when Roanoke puts on its
Dickens of a Christmas!
Each year the shops in Downtown Roanoke stay open late while the streets are filled with shoppers, musicians and carolers. Dressed in persiod costumes, there are several groups performing for the enjoyment of those who attend.
This year, downtown Raonoke had something new, SNOW! Man made show was brought into downtown Roanoke to create a slide and an area for snowball fights!
Based upon the reaction for the kids, the snow was a big hit! You could hear screams of joy as they sled down the hill. Parents watched on and laughed as the kids played in the snow.. It is a great family experience.
