Just finishing making supper and then heading to a couple of fundraising dances one for the JR High and One for the High School students.
I highly recommend getting involved in fundraising as most of the parents are also homeowners and business owners and decision makers.
What a wonderful way to get visibility and let potential clients see how you work both casually and under the pressure of a fund raiser.
Plus you feel good while raising the funds. I am not sure how much I have raised over the years... but every bit helped the orgaization I raised it for whether it was Kiwanis...Rotary...Clean Community Sytems...the church...ball clubs...cancer...etc..
Today I got a nice surprise in the mail when a Christmas letter was sent to us and one of the casual comments made by the Mom was that her daughter's High school soccer team won the State High School Championship 3A in Colorado. I felt so good because I was that girls coach for the first two years she ever played with the Pride soccer club.
I haven't seen "little" Joannie in over 8 years but boy does that feel good and that is worth a whole career of volunteer coaching.
This photo is from 2002 and shows my daughter Jaime front left and Joannie front right.
I miss those days and now look at what time it is...
Time to head to the dances and maybe I can teach some 6th grader the "worm"! Happy Weekend!
And don't forget to volunteer!!!
