Zillow and the "other" area, to join or not join that board....

I have a Zillow account and partially sponsor a local zip code. They didn't have anyone in a nearby zip code that is NOT part of my MLS, but they put me there anyway.

I have been sending these leads to an agent in that area, and have received an $800. referral check. I am getting more and more hits on that area. I am wondering if I should join that board and start answering these leads myself. I am sure a lot of them are just crap, but one must wonder how often you actually show people property, or is it just the short sales that are already under contract that they are looking at.

Your thoughts?

Hello Kathy,

I have found that any "edge" you can take advantage of is worth the time to at least look into it.

The name of the game is income for you and your office. An $800.00 check is great but a commish check ten times that would even be better. Just my thinking.

Have a great Holiday season in the Florida Keys my friend.

Best, Clint McKie

Kathy, do you know the area?  Is it close by?  How much to join the other board?  If these answers are all in your favor, by all means, but it's also easy to refer and not have to worry about it.

Kathy, it depends on travel time and qualifying the leads...you will do better than most from my experience with zillow has been consumers wanting info but don't want to use you...best of luck.
