In my last post I talked about a "lead capture website" versus an information website being one of the two main reasons that your website was not getting any new client leads. Today I'll talk about reason #2.
If your website is not on the first page of Google for your RE keywords, the chances of anyone ever seeing it are zero. All of your marketing should be geared to either getting Exposure or Traffic. Your informational website somewhere on the back pages of Google is fine for Exposure. You can send your existing clients or new potential clients you have already found there as a way of highlighting your professional image.
If, however, the purpose of your website is Traffic, as in new customers, it needs to be placed where those prospects are looking and none of them EVER look farther than the first page of Google.
So, is it possible to get your website to Google's first page there without having to take out a second mortgage? Absolutely!
Is it hard to get there? Not particularly.
Here's how you do it.
There are two main methods that are used to capture a page one listing for your Lead Capture Website. They are:
1. Search Engine Optimization
2. Google Places
If you are comfortable around a computer (you don't need to be a geek) and you are willing to take the time to learn, you can optimize your website and get it ranked in Google Places yourself. If you and/or your assistant don't have the time and you want these services done quickly they can be hired out very reasonably. Just make sure you get a guarantee as to exactly what will be done (your website on the 1st page of Google). Although it's an old cliche, it's true that just one deal should more than pay for the services and with a page one placement, you should get several new clients each month.
TIP: DON'T sign a contract until you are certain the service is working.
There are many other internet related services that will increase your customer traffic. A mobile website, text message marketing, customer relationship management through auto responders, QR codes, social media, etc but a good lead capture website on the 1st page of Google should be your first priority and provide you the most return for your efforts.
