Home Inspector with K.D. Milton's Home Inspections

Hello Everyone,
I am new to activerain and to blogging. I will start with, I have been a home inspector for about 7 years. Three with a friend and four on my own. I spent 10 years in the construction field and about 15 years in the machinist field. Both taught me to have an eye for detail. I am married with two boys. One just graduated college and one just graduated high school. I have been a little slow with inspections, but I am sure that that will turn around. Thank you for your time.

Welcome.  Another home inspector is always welcome.

I've had an intense dialogue with a group of very thoughtful home inspectors over the past few days.  Go to my blog and get caught up.

Wow! What a response. Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. I needed something like this to help get me through this slow time. I have tried to stay focused on continuing education to keep me fresh and up to date. I am a small company, trying to compete with the more established inspection houses. It has been a good run, but now I have had to get out of my comfort zone and market myself. That is proving to be a little tough. If anyone has any advice I am all ears. Thanks again.

Welcome to the community, Ken!  I'm pretty new, however, have learned in this short time that AR is what you put into it.  There's a bit of a learning curve associated with it, but it's pretty common sense and user friendly.  If you ever bump into a wall just ask.  There are plenty of folks who can share tips.
