Real Estate Broker/Owner with Eichler Properties DRE # 183868

The smallest state park in Texas is located in Hood County Texas and honors Elizabeth Crockett wife of David Crockett a hero of The Alamo. The park's name is Acton State Park located on Hwy 167 South in Acton Texas. The park consist of only the grave area of the Crockett Family members.

Buried in the family plot are the children of Elizabeth Crockett and David Crockett and their family.  Davy of course was one of the most famous members of the Battle of The Alamo for Texas Independence. The photos of the markers and head stones give some family information. There are other Crockett family buried in the Acton cemetery. Acton is about five miles east of Granbury Texas.

Well I guess no one cares about Davy Crockett and family anymore.  Just to visit this Texas smallest state park and say I was there would be interesting to some. Not so much to others. :):)

Michael, Those were the good old days.  Acton Cemetery is located just out of Granbury and that is 35 miles SW of Fort Worth on hwy 377.  It would be about a 2 hour drive from Austin.  Thanks for the comments.

Gloria,  Thanks for the comments and the song.  I sure liked Davey he is a big part of why Texas is Texas. So many of the ones that died at the Alamo were from other states and they gave their lives in what then was another country.
