I talk a lot about measuring your ROI on different marketing techniques and doing things to enhance your SEO. A great way to begin or add on to these is to measure your reach on Google through Google Analytics. Why should your focus be on Google when there are so many search engines? We’ve found if you concentrate on Google, you’ll be improving your rankings on all other engines as well (not to mention that Google captures 65% of searches).
For those of you unfamiliar, Google Analytics it is simply a tool that allows you to measure your websites traffic, and furthermore your marketing effectiveness. If you haven’t already, sign up for a free account and start measuring your traffic!
What’s that you say? You already use Google Analytics? Great!
The app Quicklytics is an awesome tool to use to view your analytics in the easiest, fastest way possible. It is a universal app (meaning it works on all iPhones, iPads and iPod touch) and is available for download for $1.99.
The benefit of using the app is that it won’t overwhelm you with numbers you don’t want to see. Quicklytics will show you the number of visitors you have, page-views, average page-views per visit and bounce rate in an easy to digest format.
You can even customize charts for certain time periods, get real time data and you can see your analytics for multiple sites if you have them. This is the perfect type of app for someone on the go to keep tabs on their advertising ROI and easily manage Web presence.
Start tracking what traffic sources are your best. Is most of your traffic coming in from your listings pages? Spend some time and effort in making your calls to action strong. Maybe you see that your blog page isn’t getting much attention. You can use that knowledge to experiment with new topics or a new format. See if that helps grow your traffic to and from that page.
Do you have any experience with Google Analytics? Can’t wait to hear from you!
