Christmas is the season of lights. And colorful displays are just around the corner from almost anywhere you find yourself in south metro Atlanta.
One of the most spectacular is the inaugural season of the Gift of Lights display at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.
You may have seen Atlanta Motor Speedway under the lights during a race weekend, but you've never seen it quite like this! This Christmas season, for the first time in track history, one of NASCAR's fastest tracks will be lit up Holiday style!
The young at heart, no matter what their age, will be awed as they drive through the 1.5-mile route and experience whimsical holiday displays created from more than 1 million energy-efficient LED lights. The beautiful installations will be lighting up the speedway from November 18 through January 1 (including Christmas Day).
Gift of Lights at Atlanta Motor Speedway is the newest holiday destination in the area and is sure to be a season favorite. More than just a light show, it’s a holiday experience not to be missed.
When: Every night, including Christmas, from November 18 through January 1. Hours of operation are Sunday – Thursday, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Admission: $15 per vehicle; Admission for buses is $1 per person with a minimum of $20. The first 15,000 vehicles to drive through this season will receive a gift bag with holiday values from the event’s sponsors. Attention members of the military: military discounts are available every night of the week. Get $2 off the price of admission when you show a valid military ID.
