All websites are going to change in a big way within the next few years.

In case you missed it, Bill Fletcher , offered a very insightful comment in response to my post about the importance of content

He said:

“I believe all websites are going to change in a big way within the next few years.

“Inert sites will be replaced by business engines.

“Brochure sites will be replaced with information machines.

“I am not sure a little fresh content is going to be enough to keep up.

“The first wave of next generation sites will reap the greatest rewards.”

Thanks Bill...I totally agree.

Encourage Visitors To Contact You

website visitorTo me an inert site is one that has no inherent power of action or motion.

While inert sites might be useful for simply posting names and contact data...like bench or bus advertising...they cannot do what your own website must do...encourage visitors to contact you.

As a marketing tool...or business engine...your website must engage visitors.

The best way to engage site visitors is to use your website to showcase what distinguishes you from the competition...your enthusiasm, passion and knowledge.

Without these elements, your site makes you indistinguishable from all other agents.

Why would any prospective client choose an agent who is just like all the others?Prospects might just well draw a name at random.

Information Machines

In many respects a brochure is little more than a fancy business card.

While they can present valuable and useful information about you and how you help clients, they cannot provide prospects with either the quantity or quality of information they need to be sufficiently moved to contact you.

In practice, brochures are more effective as reminders of who you are than as tools to stimulate readers to take action and contact you.

Brochure sites are simply electronic...or online...versions of print brochures.

Information-rich, client-focused web pages on the other hand, offer visitors compelling reason for contacting you to learn more about how you can help them.

As an source of information, your website offers visitors what they seek when they want it...like a non-stop machine.

The Greatest Rewards

The first generation of agents' web sites are the dull, boring sites offered by national real estate companies and brokerages. reward

The next generation are the unique sites that increasingly more agents are developing and maintaining.

These sites reflect individual agents' enthusiasm, passion and knowledge.

They engage visitors and help distinguish you from your competition.

And best of all, they offer visitors compelling reasons for contacting you, so you can convert them into clients you can satisfy.

To be part of the next generation of sites, you need your own unique website

And to reap the most rewards, your site must satisfy visitors by offering them what they seek...information-rich content.
