Jay's Saturday morning haiku - 10

The English form of the traditional Japanese Haiku includes any or all of the following:

  • The use of 17 syllables, in the form of three lines, with 5, 7 and 5 syllables respectively.  Some haiku may employ 10 - 14 syllables, but 17 is traditional.
  • The use of a season in the poem.
  • The use of a "cut word" or punctuation to set off and compare two images.

They live behind it -

And in it and on it too.

A real roach motel.

This is number 10 Ginny!  You have some catching up to do!  And some 'splainin'...

A bug bomb would not have helped that house Michael!  A 1000 pound JDAM might have helped a bit though.

S&D - you don't have roaches up there?  They are no different than any other insect, except, supposedly, they are to survive the next nuclear attack!

Wallace - there were so many they INHABITED the towels!  They can take them!

Valerie - glad you are thinking!  I think, therefore I am!  Who said that?

Merry Christmas and all that it brings you both of you and yours.

Jay,

Do you ever wonder whether you're bringing some "friends" home with you after an inspection like that?

I do Richard.  And I try to be very careful.  There are houses, like this one, into which I will not bring my bag.  I get equipment in the car and use it as I need it.

Thanks Jim.  The same, obviously.

Between the roaches and black widows, that house was truly unbelievable.  I am glad it has been eliminated from the earth!

Jay, I am so glad those critters are not such an issue here---rarely see any signs of them.  Have a Merry and a Happy---to you and all your family.

Dagny - thanks!  And backatcha of course, with all the joy it can bring.
