Decembers Season of Celebrations & Sharing - Feeding the Homeless in Phoenix -
This year has brought about so many changes for our communities. There are folks who have lost jobs in record numbers; families that have been displaced; and the list goes on and on.
Being a part of a community should always include giving to those 
less fortunate. I'm proud to be a founding member of my networking group, Pinnacle One Group. This group of dedicated entrepreneurs digs deep each year for several community service events. In the past we've walked the breast cancer walk, donated school supplies to homeless children, provided repairs to a disadvantaged family, and EACH year we provide a meal to the Watkins Shelter, 1120 W Watkins, Phoenix, AZ. Watkins is part of the UMOM New Day Center, which works to break the cycle of homelessness by offering housing, counseling and more.
We purchased the meal for all 192 individuals, brought in supplies, and cleaned up after ourselves on 11/29/11. Once again, we received more than we gave. Thanks to all of our wonderful members!
With pride, these are some of our members as we are about to feed a record number of residents, 192, and our 5th straight year of donating and serving Watkins Shelter.
