Most Active Rainers have a veteran in the family or were one themselves. My dad was a tail gunner in the B-24 pictured in this blog during WW II! A plane like this was manufactured every 55 minutes in the USA during the height of daylight bombing of Germany. Daylight bombing was very effective but many planes did not come back to base in Italy. Had two brothers in the service during Vietnam era so veterans are pretty special in my book. On Veterans Day, the 11th day, of the 11th month, at 11...stop, be silent, pray and remember veterans, those in your family alive and deceased. Remember our boys and girls, men and ladies around the world serving in the armed forces this monday at 11 oclock when you observe Veteran's Day in your town or city. "Some gave all, many gave some".
