A typical Christmas in our family includes packing up the animals (my two or my mom's three) and heading to the other's home. This year, my mom had volunteered to watch Margarita (Rita for short) while a friend of hers spends a month in England with her daughter. So, we had a menagerie of 6 dogs and poor Mai Ling, the Siamese kitty.
My mother, the ever ultimate spoiler of all animals decided her "guest" needed some Christmas cheer and asked me to take the photos for proof. I said of what - how you "torture" dogs? If you don't believe me, take at look at her face, LOL.
Then, after we were at mom's house for a couple of hours, we realized we hadn't seen poor kitty. Had she gotten out the front door in all the confusion of our two running in and doing to typical dog sniffing greeting? What about while we were bringing in all our presents and the food? So, now the search for kitty went on. I walked up and down the street hoping kitty wasn't coyote Christmas dinner. Mom went through all the bedrooms looking under all the beds and in all the closets. Finally, we hear my husband calling from the kitchen. Mai Ling decided this was the safest place to be with the 6 "wild ones" on the ground - not just on top of the refridgerator, but on top of the cabinet which is ABOVE the fridge, LOL.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Me, I know how Santa feels - I'm ready for a long night's rest.
