Fairburn 30213Closed Sales year to date are up 4.38% for single family properties in Fairburn GA when comparing 2010 versus 2011.  This is good news for Fairburn and shows that buyers are increasingly interested in Fairburn real estate.  Fairburn continues to be a great destination in metro Atlanta with close proximity to Interstate 85 and Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.  Schools continue to improve in the area as well making Fairburn single family homes desirable for buyers with children.

J W GroupConversely closed sales volume year to date is down by 4.39% for single family properties in Fairburn GA when comparing 2010 versus 2011.  So we are selling more homes in Fairburn, but there is still a problem with price appreciation.  This continues to be great news for buyers, and I suspect we have a few years to go before we see the prices (hence values) increase with a pace similar to the number of sales.

J W Group FairburnThe average sales price is also slightly lower for 2011 versus 2010 for Fairburn Single Family Homes.  Year to date 2010 average sales price was $117,128 and the current year to date average is $107,278 - almost a $10,000 difference.  That is a difference because what you bought in 2010 is selling for an average of $10,000 less in 2011.
