Paddy -- the biggest problem is that the liberals (and those of their ilk) have changed the word - from "of" to "from" -- they are trying to perpetrate "freedom from religion".

Paddy - WOW I have always liked your posts and ALWAYS enjoyed your depth of insight and perspective but this reaches an all new high! Kudos to you for blasting a much needed dose of reality to the dimwits on Capital Hill. Pelosi is pure disgusting as is the entire regime in Washington right now. I am not a fan of either party but do believe one has a "little more" interest in the citizens that elected them than the other. Its a sad state of affairs that any dumbass special interest can take over and create anything they want but when we stand up "UNITED" and say NO MORE the days of the BS spoon feeding will be over and we can take back control of our lives and our country and not the PRIVILEGED few!

Great post Paddy.  There will always be a few people anywhere who don't like anything.  In the country of majority rule, the loud minority are making stupid rules for all of us. 

Common sense is in short supply.  You have enough for several people, keep experessing it!

Paddy, I stopped by because of Pacita's re-blog.  You are absolutely correct about our liberties being taken away. It also seems that politicians of both parties are equally guilty -- they just have a different rational for their respective actions.

Paddy - I came from the Soviet Union 20 years ago, and I think I perfectly understand what you are saying. I would however, be careful saying that they have ore freedom of religion, and use "freedom" in the same sense we use it here, and it is not the same.

Paradoxically, what you note here is the result of the same freedom of expression here and freedom to sue anyone and everyone...

I think the whole thing with Ded Moroz and New Year is what the Bolsheviks did, when they tried to un-religion the Soviet Union. To do it they took the most popular religious events and Holidays, and changed them to Soviet Holidays, and slowly but surely made the substitution.

So true.  I found few people in church were even saying "Merry Christmas"  we are being trained not to.  It is almost comical to be in a store full of decor that needs to sell stuff at Christmas and the clerks have been taught not to say Merry Christmas!

I love it.  Magnify an issue, rail against it, and then blame it on the liberals.  Me thinks PhD surely must mean "Piling it Higher and Deeper."

I agree with every point in this post.  Our politicians make me sick and everyone's standard of living is being driven downward with the exception of the elite of this country who squander money like nobody's business.  The worst part is they are squandering our money.  Tax and spend, tax and spend....

Ahhh Paddy:  Now we take a walk into the land of the contrived and imagined "war against God/Christianity."    If you don't have anything you can use to attack those you disagree with... invent something, and then attack them about that.  Such an imaginative course of action.

There is no war against religion or God.  The politicians and/or the courts are not fighting a war.  They are standing with the Consititution.

Where exactly can you point to justify your imposing your religious beliefs on others.  I would posit that doing that is an attack on the liberties of others.  Or... is your "freedom to act" something that merits defense, but my freedom from having your beliefs forced up me... something that is simply to be swallowed ?
