Live Highlands Ranch : Free Christmas Tree Recycling
The Highlands Ranch Metro District is offering free Christmas tree recycling once again this holiday season. Drop off your ornament and tinsel-free tree from Friday, December 23 through Sunday, January 15 at one of our tree recycling sites.
- Redstone Park – 3280 Redstone Park Circle
- Teopfer Park – 9480 S. Venneford Ranch Rd.
- Dad Clark Park – 3385 Asterbrook Cir.
- Highland Heritage Regional Park – a Douglas County drop off site
All Christmas trees will be chipped into mulch and made available free to Highlands Ranch residents. The mulch is available on a self-serve basis at each of the tree recycling locations. Mulch left over will be used on parkway landscape throughout the community. During last year’s Christmas tree recycling event an incredible total of 2,527 trees were dropped off.
Christmas tree recycling is just one way the Metro District helps support our environment. Throughout the year, the Metro District offers tree and limb recycling, household hazardous materials collection events, water conservation information and activities, outdoor education programs, and more.
