Home "from" the Holidays

Bud and I just got home yesterday from our week long tour around the 'family states'. Bud drove up first and I joined him later by plane. It was easier to have him go this way so that all I needed on the flight was my carry on. We got to see his mother, my mother, and the kids. I wish everyone was still in the same general location, but it is worth the drive to see them again. We kept our gifts from one another and some from co-workers under the tree so that we would have something to open upon our return.

I wish I had a picture of the bush outside the house to show you. Before my flight, I asked one of the girls who works for me to come over and help me put up the lights around the bush outside. Well the bush is taller than the garage and I only have 2 strings with 50 lights on each. If I got more, then we would have had them vertical, but instead we tried horizontal. About 1/3 or maybe just 1/4 of the bush has lights on it (just wrapped around the bottom). Since I didn't have time to do much more, we left them that way. I am sure the neighbors are not happy about it, but oh well. The Holidays for me was spending time with the people I love, not making my house into a Holiday attraction.

Picture this tree here, but with lights just wrapping around the bottom, basically the opposite of this.
