Cedar City (Brian Head) Localism Post...The Torch Parade.....

Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

I am not sure what your New Year’s Eve activities are, but if you’re in the Brian Head or Cedar City area, you may wish to head up to Brian Head.  They are hosting fireworks, a party and one of the more interesting aspects, the Torch Parade.

Skiers ski down the mountain holding torches.  I will be honest, we almost always go to Northern Utah to spend time with my siblings for a belated Christmas celebration and get together.  This year is no exception, so we are going to miss the parade.  The photos that I have seen of this event are amazing.

There are lines of lighted torches coming down the mountain long after the sun has set.  It really looks cool in photos!  This is something that they do every year, so maybe next year we will be able to attend!  It should be noted here as well, they really know how to party in Brian Head, so it really should be a lot of fun!

I didn't want to steal someone else's photo of the Torch Parade, so I am using this photo of the bottom of one of the ski runs in Brian Head.

We have a couple ski areas here in California which have torch parades each year.  I've only managed to be at one in a past year, and it was truly a magical thing to see.

Hi Tony and Darcy - Looks really nice in a photograph, but this year I think I will greet the new year by sitting by the pool and watching the year change on TV in New York with all the shivering people.  Happy New Year to you both!

That sounds like an event worth taking pictures and video of. I'm seeing it in my brain, but the actual experience would be so much better.

Howdy and morning Tony and Darcy

Tony and Darcy my friend, watching skiers coming down a Mountain ski slop sure is mighty cool. Some of the ski Mountains here do that also. That sure is a mighty fine photo y'all took of the bottom of the ski run.

May each and everyday bring you and your family an abundant of blessings for the rest of 2011 and all the way though the New Year of 2012!

Have a good one
