Saturday, Dec. 31: Hit the Ground Running
End 2011 on a high (and fast) note, with the 6th Annual Bull Run 5k. The course features a combination of pavement, gravel and hardpack, and offers lots of great spectating options for family and friends. Sunday, Jan. 1: Let There Be Lights
It's the last week to catch a glimpse of the winter wonderland that awaits at the Bull Run Festival of Lights, now on display at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville. Over 130,000 people visit every year to experience this enchanted world of giant toy soldiers, snowmen, Santa and his reindeer, and so much more. 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. (Additional dates and times.) $15/car or van.
