Colors of December at Longwood Gardens 12/30/11

A Longwood Christmas, an annual event and exhibit, draws large crowds to the expansive Conservatory at Longwood Gardens.  The flower, plants and trees are wonderful to see and Dolores and I recommend a visit.

With over 1,000 acres of gardens, there are still a few flowers to be seen outside as well.  These photographs were taken when I went to see the Longwood Railway exhibit.

I really enjoy the way you put flowers in your comments. I look forward to your comment visits because they pretty up my posts so much. I like the pink poinsettia you did at Christmas. It was breathtaking.

Roy - this is my all-time, favorite photo you've ever taken and one of the best flower photos I've ever seen. You're still getting better and I think semi retirement has been really good for us at Active Rain - you've treated us to some amazing photos!
