Mea Culpa
My apologies to Elva Lee (http://activerain.com/elva_lee). She reminded me that a while back, as I was skeptical about Short Sales, I wrote a post about signing up for a class to become a CDPE. I had complained previously about the crappy way buyers were treated, the hopeless processing times by the banks, and was deciding if I was interested in pursuing short sales.
Elva reminded me that I had promised to create another post, A-F-T-E-R attending the CDPE class. Oops, I forgot!
Well, in a nut shell… my eyes were opened.
I learned how the system works, and how to operate effectively within the system.
Short Sales benefit the Investor, the borrower, the buyer, and the REALTOR®.
I am now a CDPE, and am receiving direct referrals from one bank, and speaking with lots of folks about a Short Sale, rather than a Foreclosure, as options for them.
All in all, I’m glad that I made the effort to become a CDPE.
No one contemplated the Short Sale would become such a huge piece of our business. But, it is time for more of us to educate ourselves on the process.
Short Sales? Yes!
CDPE? Yes!
