Reporting Construction and Industrial Pollution

By

What can you do about pollution?  We all try to be responsible in our personal lives, we carpool when possible, or use public transportation, drive less, and of course, we have all switched to using Compact Fluorescent light bulbs, and taken a few steps in our homes to help (right??)  Still though, there are a LOT of ignorant A*&holes out there that just plain DON’T CARE.

Did you know that you can report excessive dust, industrial, or other burning emissions to your local Department of Environmental Quality?  The website to ours here in Utah is http://www.deq.utah.gov/About_DEQ/contact_DEQ.htm.  You can find the numbers to report pollution by category, which include Air Quality, Solid and Hazardous Waste, Environmental Response and Remediation, Water Quality, and Radiation Control.  I’m sure every state has a similar department within their state governments, and I encourage you all to look up yours, and do your part to report pollution.

As always, please feel free to comment if you have any questions, or anything to add!

Thanks for the post.  I copied the link and tried modifying it to find the California branch without luck.  Still a great post for those that care.  I've added your blog to my list.  Have a great weekend.
