Blog Postings for points

Real Estate Agent with Sutton Group-Associates Realty Inc. Brokerage
I am trying to figure out exactly how the point system works and i am a bit confused, I know you can only score points for 10 blog posts per week but when do the weeks begin? also i have some blogs that have scored less points than other even though they have more comments... that is very confusing.. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Scott  - I only signed up yesterday and the points don't make sense to me either so I will watch this thread to see if maybe we can both learn something.

This is from a moderator

There will be an update to our blogging engine coming down the pipe.  Starting Sunday post point limits will be set at 10 posts per week scored at 200 points each.  We welcome you posting more, automated scoring will be limited to 10 per week.  The scheduled week will be Sunday through Saturday Central Standard Time.  Additional posts may still receive points manually per current practices.

It should be noted that the number of points awarded based on quality will be increased to offset the reduced number of scored posts.

We will still be selecting featured posts. In some cases we will still adjust points according to established criteria.  Of course, as always has been the case, we will not award credit for content that is copyrighted or simply copiedfrom others. We look to you, The ActiveRain Community to help us monitor these things.

Please remember to follow the posting guidelines to hit your target audience

Watch here for any changes to this leading up to Thursday, and as always we welcome member feedback on these changes.

Hey Scott, good questions.  I didn't know we could post 10 blogs a week.

Phaedra, who judges the quality of the blog anyway?  Why should one member's musings/experiences/opinions/questions outweigh someone else's?

Hey scott great question I keep asking myself that and you got us all the answer. Sometimes I blog for points because I like to keep my top space in my county but I truly do enjoy posting to spread knowledge.
