Ringing in the new year - New Year's Eve 2011

Germany is a lot closer to 2012 than we are - 6 hours (from the East Coast) to be exact! I'll be sure to toast into the New Year early again as I skype with my family around midnight/6 pm - or actually I'll be ringing it in twice. We'll be having a fun evening with friends we haven't seen in over 2 years! There's no better way to spend the evening than with family and friends - be it right next to me or via Skype!

Wishing you all a wonderful evening with your family and friends as you bid farewell to the old and ring in the new! Forget your troubles for one night and enjoy yourselves - the New Year is a New Beginning!

I hope you enjoy this little video I found on YouTube (many thx to VoxDiabolo - nicely done!): New Year's 2009/2010 in my home town Halle/Saale in Germany - I admit, watching it is making us a wee bit homesick Halle-sick!

Jeanean: We had a great evening and all worked out with Skype, too! We got to countdown with my sister and her family and even watched them do their fireworks outside!
