Do You Use the One and Two Letter Marketing Approach? Hey, Go for the Four Letter Word?
Again, Barbara hits the nail on the head!
Listen to her today -
"It is totally about what you will be doing for "THEM"!"
"The ... marketing approach is all about "What YOU will receive", in other words, it is all about THEM, the clients, those elusive buyers and sellers we all desire to reach with our marketing."
"This is the "them" generation of consumers."
Wishing joy and success to you and yours in 2012!

Me, Me, Me! Big I!
Are You Guilty of Old Hat Marketing? What's your style?
What exactly is your approach to marketing? Do use the "Big I" or the "Me, Me, Me" approach? These one and two letter marketing techniques are so old hat and will not work in this new age of real estate marketing.
Back in the day, when it was all about ME, this type of marketing was acceptable and even worked. The agent's picture, usually a Glamor Shot, was larger than life along with the name and phone number of the agent. No one had to guess who this was....it screamed at you loud and clear. That was BI (before Internet as we know it today!). The larger the ad, the better and the public bought it! Lose the Glamor Shots, Real Estate Divas! Guys, still going for that GQ look? Really? Those were the days, my friends!
How about Them?
It is long past time to take that "Big I" and the "Me, Me, Me" out of your marketing and start using that three letter word, "YOU" or the four letter, "THEM". That's right, folks, today it is all about "THEM" and "YOU" (as in them). Savvy buyers and sellers today are not interested in what you did for the past umpteen years. There are agents who list every single award or diploma they have earned or paid for, right after telling them all about their wonderful dogs.
It is no longer all about "I" or "Me". It is totally about what you will be doing for "THEM"! Oh, you can still list your accomplishments in a not so visible place on your website's "About Me", but you need to be sure that you do not just talk, talk, talk yourself out of a commission. You could likely have that precious picture of you and your pup, but keep it low key and not "in your face" as not everyone is a pet lover. You can sell a lot more with less words!
The newer three or four letter marketing approach is all about "What YOU will receive", in other words, it is all about THEM, the clients, those elusive buyers and sellers we all desire to reach with our marketing. Today's buyers and sellers will judge an agent as professional and worthy of engaging by their Internet presence, locally, nationally and even globally. Once you start talking about what is in it for THEM, you will get their attention.
Today's savvy real estate consumers live on and by the Internet daily both personally and professionally. They can spot true professionals at a few seconds glance. You do not have much time to make that good first Internet impression. Forget the "I" and the "Me" and check out your marketing approach and get it in tune with today's buyers and sellers who are in the marketplace.
Today's Smart Real Estate Professionals Toss Out the Old Hat Marketing, keep those ideas which worked THEN as fond memories and are on to what works today! This is the "them" generation of consumers.
