St Petersburg and Tampa Bay are now COOL

By

St Pete and Tampa are now cool, both in desirability and in weather. This week we'd have mornings in the high 50s, and cool evenings as well.

This is a wonderful time to open up our homes, turn off the air conditioning, and enjoy the fresh air. Fall and spring are my favorite times in Florida.

Afternoons still warm up into the 70s, so it's a very pleasant time of year.

For those who rent out their second homes, the best rental season is from Christmas to Easter, and the next best time is the summer. That leaves the most comfortable times of year, spring and fall, for you to enjoy while maximizing your income.

Hi Sharon, Been back east for the last 10 days and enjoyed the season color change and it was awesome. This post reminded of how wonderful the fall season can be. I used to live in Fla. ( Palm Beach ) and so enjoyed the temperature change from the more warm and humid summers. Loved the Tampa St Pete areas. Spent a lot of summer time also on Sanabel Island. Even canoed a bit there.

Is the real estate market cool, warm, or hot?

Posted something on AR relating to the question.

I was reading Forbes the other day and the magazine outlines outstanding places to move to and they were as follow:

Belize

Cabo San Lucas

and St. Petersburg

It's a great city and my family and I are going to Fort Desota tomorrow followed by lunch in Tarpon Springs.  What gorgeous weather the last two weeks.

I try to respond promptly, but sometimes I just miss the comments. Sorry for the delay:

William - glad you're enjoying the autumn leaves and cool weather. If it's been some years since you were in St Pete you wouldn't recognize it! The last 10 years have transformed it, while keeping its charm.

Katerina - um, yes, love the fall and the spring.

Ed - it's hot for buyers and cold for sellers. Really depends on the segment and neighborhood. Some areas have 5 years of inventory.

Steven - so glad you're able to enjoy it. Of the three you mention, only one is in the US.  us.

Linda - the only complaint I hear from some people about living here is the hot, humid summers.

Barbara Jo - yes, I can hardly wait to get outside. It's also a great time for reading the morning paper on the dock.
