Motivational Power Quote
The Rise to Greatness is in the Expectations
“It’s the nature of man to rise to greatness if
greatness is expected of him.”
Jon Steinbeck, author
As I see it . . . . . . .
The rise to greatness is in the expectations
We will rise to and succeed to the level of our expectation.
There are multi levels of expectations.
With a child the parents and grandparents create the foundation for the child’s self-esteem at a young age. With positive nurturing the child will grow up with a strong image of self-worth.
As we grow up the nurturing changes from primary from the parents to teachers, coaches and their peers.
Through positive nurturing, encouragement and positive reinforcement we set the standards for our expectations. With positive nurturing we develop a positive outlook and for our expectations.
People with high expectations will achieve far more in life than a person with limited or low expectations. Throughout our life what we achieve is be in line with our expectations.
A person can change their expectations by changing the way they think. If you’re current thinking is creating limited expectations focus on the things that are most important to you and what you want to change. Put those changes into writing and categorize by their priority.
Once their categorize the changes by their importance make the commitment to successfully achieve the next item on your list and continue on the next item until you have removed the barriers to your success. As you do your levels of expectations will rise and you level of achievement will increase.
The rise to greatness is in the expectation. Change your expectation and your flight plan changes and your expectations will have you reaching for higher levels of achievement.
