Rise and Shine. A popular saying to help you get out of bed in the morning can certainly apply to more than just getting out of bed, can't it? As a young girl I recall my mom attempting to start my day off on the right foot by happily greeting me in the morning with a "Rise and Shine". When I later had my first and only child, I can still remember my mom telling me to always greet your child happily in the morning with a "Rise and Shine" in hopes that they will have a good day when their day is started with a positive message. I always thought that to be good advice. Yet, "Rise and Shine" can mean so much more...
Now that it's the New Year of 2012 we're all thinking of ways that we can "Rise" from whatever it is we're doing to trying to "Shine" in what it is we do in work and home. I can imagine this would apply to many distressed Sellers and even non-distressed Sellers, not to mention, I too, desire to "Rise and Shine" with each day (perhaps that will be my daily goal)
Anyhow, back to the distressed Seller. Distressed Sellers likely hope and pray for their tough circumstances to be relieved and nothing they would like more than to "Rise and Shine" out of their circumstances. It's about putting one foot in front of the other each day.
You can even apply this to non-distressed Sellers. Perhaps Non-Distressed Sellers have been trying to get their home sold yet are competing with the many Short Sales and Foreclosures in the neighborhood keeping their home values lower; making it difficult for them to "Rise and Shine" to the fact that their home will likely not sell for a higher price that they so desire.
In fact, just about anyone can sometimes have a hard time grappling with "Rise and Shine" each day. How many times in my South Florida Real Estate business have I had some days that I just seemed to be having a hard time remembering what my mom taught me about rising and shining each day. It's not always easy, true, but if we could only just be content with our life circumstances and then it could be easier to wake up each day really taking ahold of the concept to really "Rise and Shine". Contentment brings the ability to "Rise and Shine"
Going forward, I"m going to concentrate on "Rising and Shining" each day...won't you join me?!
I liked your title. We just have to remember each day is a brand new opportunity when that sun comes up and sines.
Happy New Year!
