Current Shasta MLS raw data report 941 homes are listed for sale representing a 4.7 months supply. 2,400 homes sold, 2011, versus 2,087 homes sold in 2,010. A 3 to 6 month supply of homes for sale reflect a healthy market for buyers and sellers.
The Real Estate Market is experiencing hot spots of activity at popular price points. Recent reports by the National Association of REALTORS and National Association of Home Builders report improvements in resales and new construction. Historically 3,377 homes sold at the peak of 2005. That number should not be considered a sustainable rate. In 2005 approximately 23 percent of sales were being made to investors.
