Beacon Hill Estates is one of, if not the most prestigious and sought after places to live in Chester NJ. In all, there are 45 luxury homes set amongst the gentle rolling hills in the southern edge of town just northwest of beautiful Roxiticus Valley. The location is convenient to dining, shopping, schools, banking, commuting, etc. just minutes away in quaint Chester Borough, and only 2 miles away from neighboring Peapack Gladstone, where there is access to NJ Transit train service to NYC on the Gladstone branch of the Morris & Essex line.
Minimum lot size in Beacon Hill Estates is 3 acres with some lots being as large as 5 acres. The majority of these luxury homes were built in the mid 1990's and vary in size from 4 to 6 bedrooms with at least 3 baths and 3 to 4 garages. Other well known luxury home developments in Chester include Hedgerows, The Pond at Chester, Ashton Woods, Winston Farms, Lamerson Hunt, Roxiticus Ridge, Trout Brook Estates, Bamboo Brook and Walnut Hill Estates among others.
Chester offers a very high quality of life to its residents beginning with an outstanding public school system with a stellar reputation, a new state of the art public library and plenty of choices available nearby in the private school sector, as well. In addition to the Chester Borough historic shopping district, there is a newer contemporary shopping center (Streets of Chester) which is home to some of the nation's most well known retail designer clothing stores. As you can see from the graphs below, the number of homes Sold in Beacon Hill over the past 7 years has been fairly steady with the exceptions of 2008 and 2010 where there were zero homes sold and then an above average amount (5) homes in respective years. The remaining five years indicate 2 to 3 homes being sold as the norm. The Average Sale Price of all homes Sold in Beacon Hill has showed a steady decline over the past 7 years from a high in 2006 of nearly $1.4M to just under $1M at the close of 2011.
