I'll be a "Band Dad" again this weekend.

The Ygnacio Valley High School Marching Band will be loaded and on the Bus before dawn Saturday.

They'll be marching in beautiful Napa Valley in the Vintage Reserve Band Festival. They are a small but wonderful group of kids. I just hope it doesn't rain.

Last weekend they finished FIRST in the Lodi Grape Bowl! Go Warriors!

Rich that is so cool! I'll bet you accepted trophies on the same stage as the YVHS Major at the time. Looking back, didn't you find the Marching band one of the best parts of your high school experience?

I'm working on a collection of photos and video for a promotional DVD to give to the middle school kids and their parents. We need a bigger drum line.

Tom - It's all fun. I actually catch up on my reading on the bus.

Michelle - Football Mom? Cool! We go to all the football games as well. This weekend it was at De La Salle friday night, Marching band at 6 am. then rush to the Cal game (USC) at 5 PM. Non stop!

Gary - keep working on it. We had a constant rain. I was soaked from 9 in the morning to 11:30 at night! I had my rain poncho on but still got soaked.

Catherine - I had great time. They finished first again! We were all soaked to the bone but it wasn't too cold.
