I Dare You to Solve This One - Unsolvable Spam Protection


I like working out problems, it comes in handy as a general contractor. Problem solving, puzzles, mysteries, math problems, I get a kick out of them all. But today I ran into a tough one here at ActiveRain.

The problem came when I writing a “thank you message” to one of my newest subscribers. You know where that is. You write an e-mail message to a fellow member and when you are done, you have to match the two word Spam Protection.

Sometimes this is pretty simple, other times it is a little more difficult to read. You ask yourself, “Is that an “h” or an “n”?” Or maybe, “That’s either a “2” or a “z””. You know the choices.

 

Today, I saw the following two words.

Drives me bonkers. It can take up to 3 sets of spam words before I match them properly. Ridiculous..you'd have to be a comptuer to get to it right the first time. Lol. I think that defeats the purpose.

I did not solve it, you get one chance then it refreshes with a new set. Like I said Anne, I like puzzles. :)

Hi Tom - good luck!  I have to say that the captcha options are sometimes my favorite part of the day. Its amusing to see the silly words that they come up with and occasionally almost blush-worthy when the combinations are just not quite right :).
