Hi Vicki,  Show's you how much I know about the Ozarks, cause I don't even know where it is.  As for Southern California, we all feel like we've been punched in the gut.  Ghetto homes used to cost about $150,000 here, then by the end of the inflation of the past couple of years, the same homes were selling for $450,000 to $500,000.  Lately, values have come down around $50,000 to $100,000, but prices are still way out of line with incomes.  Especially using today's qualification formulas, being used by the lenders.  It's going to get ugly, before it starts getting better.  I love my job (appraising), but I might have to find another part time job that I love.  If you're not too busy, check out my website, I could use the hits; www.southerncaliforniaappraisers.net
