It is about my friends and good people here in the RAIN that want to explore and learn new things.
It is about the book The Go-Givers and applying the principals of the book.
It is about the Authors of the Book, John David Mann and Bob Burg who walk the talk and are truly "giving" in their natural way of being.
KERRIE GREENHALGH--So first, we have to talk about Kerrie Greenhalgh and the most amazing thing she has accomplished with her "Contests" Group. I have to say that she has us all out there doing great things for our business and giving us new insights each and every day through these contests. The concept is inspired and the results are also inspired. Thank you Kerrie for taking us new places.
ROSS DOMKE--I wrote a post recently about my Broker, Ross Domke giving me the book The Go-Giver, a book by Bob Burg and John David Mann.There was a catch to the gift and that was after reading the book, you had to go back and share with him how the book impacted you. At that point, he had another gift for you (the companion book).
THE GO-GIVER BOOK--The book is about the principles of "giving" and how this central concept moves you forward in the ability to be very successful in business. I'd rather you read the book than depend on me (just yet) to share it's value.
THE GROUP--I began reading the book and became so inspired at my Broker's generosity, that in the spirit of the Holidays, I also wanted to share in the giving. I formed the group "The Go-Givers ActiveRain Group" so that we could explore the principles of this book and apply it to our business in 2012. I put out a Challenge to buy the book and for the first five people that wrote about how they intend to apply the principles of the book to their business in 2012, I would buy them the companion book. I put out a post about it and created the Group Summary and a logo for the group. Some of my friends joined and I've been mentioning our progress along the way.
GOOD PEOPLE AND GOOD FRIENDS--My good friend Andrea Bedard, went looking for the book on Monday and found that it was sold out. She posted about her efforts to find the book and about the group. Here is the post. It was exciting because both Bob Burg and John David Mann (The Authors of The Go-Giver" commented on her post. As a result, we have both had sweet interaction with the Authors of the book.
JOHN DAVID MANN and BOB BURG--I received the nicest email from Bob Burg thanking me for our interest in the book and for forming the group. We have all been invited to a "Go-Giver Retreat" in Florida in the month of April. I would sure like to go and I am having the intention to do so. We are exchanging emails on a few tweaks for the logo and Group name. Bob has been so "giving" in his support and so I'm making a strong effort to make sure that we are not confused with the "Book" offering in anyway. I will be redesigning the logo this weekend to more of an ActiveRain Logo for the "The Go-Givers ActiveRain Group". I really don't want to provide any confusion with their blog site which is beautiful and their product offerings.
SUMMARY ON THE CIRCLE OF CONNECTION--I think that 2012 is going to be a wonderful year and as I review the circle of people/events from this post....I am so inspired. Just look at the circle of connection that occurred to make all this come together. Good things in 2012 and Great Business going forward. I have great appreciation of the Synergy of Life and how it brings good things to good people....mainly those listed above! Yeah, we are on the road to Fame and Fortune in 2012! Yeah!
