A memorial service will be held today in honor of the bus crash that happened last year concerning the school bus carrying Lee High School students. For those of you that do not know, a car hit a school buss carrying students in November 2006. The bus then went over the overpass onto Church street. Four students were killed in the crash and many others were injured. Today at 1:25 the service will be held at the 565 overpass at Church Street.

There will be a presentation and there will be a memorial wreath and sign placed as a reminder of the victims of the tragic effect. There will be many city officials in attendance and the program is expected to last about 20 minutes. If you are not able to attend, I encourage you to take a moment to remember the families of these students whose lives were changed last year. If you are in the area, drive by and view the site and memorial.

Kimberly, I had not heard of that crash but that is just awful. I do think it is great that they are holding a memorial a year later. How sad, sometimes life just doesn't make sense, does it? I guess we won't make sense out of all of it until we get to heaven.
