For the second month in a row, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is reporting that that home sales and housing starts are up. Home prices are also stabilizing or heading up in most markets. Though some areas are still down, "the declines aren't that great."
Combined with a positive jobs picture and other signs the economy is improving, NAR Chief Economis Lawrence Yun is "upbeat" about the coming year. "About 100,000 jobs are being created a month, and that could rise to 150,000." Watch the video below where Yun discusses what the numbers mean.
