Tickets for Desert Spanish Weekend (March 23-25, 2012) are now available!

The celebratory weekend will kick-off with a free lecture on Friday evening at the Michael H. Lord Gallery (located in the historic 1929 El Mirador Garage).

Friday night will conclude with an evening cocktail party at the historic Thomas O'Donnell House (1925) which was recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

For Saturday, board members Ron Duby and Gary Johns have curated a day-long tour of Palm Springs' great Spanish-influenced architecture.

Completing the weekend, on Sunday architect and author Patrick McGrew will sign PSPF's new tribute journal Desert Spanish: The Early Architecture of Palm Springs.

Sounds like a ton of fun!  I love that spanish influence that you sometimes find in the SW.  Reminds me of the movies from the 30's.

Hi Kathy. Desert Spanish Weekend sounds like an event that I would love to attend and learn more about the Spanish history and culture in that area. If they are selling tickets now, it may be a sell out event.
