The Walton County Sales Trends Report just came out for the month of December.  Like the unemployment rate going down to 8.5% Nationally, the employment is evident in Walton County Florida.  I am seeing new construction popping up all around me again.  It feels so good to see this positive trend.

Here are the numbers:

Single Family Home sales rose for the month of December by 56.14% over same period last year.

Single Family Home sales for the year rose by 19.58% over 2011 sales.

Condos and Townhomes rose 46.77% for the month of December over same period last year.

Condos and Townhome sales rose 34.53% for the year over 2011 sales.

Residential Lot sales were down for the month of December by 26.67%, but still rose for the whole year by 10.70% over 2011 sales.

Overall sales in all categories were up 18.30% over last year.

What does all of this mean?  Increasing competition for buyers on a shrinking inventory.

If I can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to ask.
