Patricia and Lane, Good info on tile roofs in San Antonio. Tile roofs around here of course are not as commonly used as composition shingle roofs due to the higher expense of the tile roofing material and labor. But the tile roof of course is a lifetime roof versus the compostion shingle roof having to be replaced every 20 years or so. So in the long run the added cost of a tile roof does pay off in addition to the great look and the other benefits you mentioned.
