Trust is earned. For me this is true. In my life, I was taught you earn trust and if you break that trust, it takes forever to get it back. I took this statement spoken to me to heart.
My father was a trustworthy man and he taught me the value of trust. He showed that in life you had to trust something greater than yourself while always bearing in mind you need to be worthy of trust. Trust is what you have when you take that first step, ride your first bike or put the car in gear for the first time. Yes, my dad trusted himself to let me grow up. He trusted he was a good example of what a person should be. He was the provider for my siblings and my mother. For that and so much more, he was trusted and respected.
Trust and respect go hand in hand. If I trust you, I will certainly respect you. In my business, I earn your trust and thus your respect. This quality is ingrained in my being. I would hope that others also share this perception of trust.
My sense of humor and uniqueness stem from the trusting relationship I had with my dad. He was and always will be a trustworthy man. I love you and miss you everyday Dad.
