I noticed some of the California Notary Schools are offering 2008 classes to teach Notaries in CA the new Notary 2008 laws.
I don't think it is necessary for a CA Notary to take a 4 hour class to learn these new laws.
There is a list of the law changes and commentary about them from Dan Jones, the owner of www.notaryclasses.com. The new law changes are available free of charge on the home page of this website.
There are also free 2008 loose CA Acknowledgments certificates and 2008 loose Jurat certificates to download.
