Motivational Power Quote
What’s Your Competitive Advantage?
“If you don’t have a competitive advantage, don’t compete.”
Jack Welch, business executive
As I see it . . . . . . .
What’s your competitive advantage?
Does your competitive advantage separate you from your competitors? Or does it have you stuck in the pack?
Does your competitive advantage create a compelling reason for someone to do business with you? Or are you more of the same old thing everyone else is doing?
Your competitive advantage will either put you on the leading edge of your profession which will create a clear path to achieving your goals and objectives. Or you will go virtually unnoticed in your profession.
A competitive advantage is the thin slice that makes you difference from you competitors and provides you customers and prospects with benefits in doing business with you.
What is it that makes you the professional that people want to do business with you?
To name a few: Is it your experience, your attitude, the quality of your customer service, your product, your values, your negotiating skills, your communications skills, your knowledge your persistence, your niche or your personally?
There is something that you’re doing or have the capacity to do that will create your competitive advantage. You may have to adjust it, modify it, you may have to change it or you may have to bring it to the surface but it’s there.
Your competitive advantage is a thin slice of difference between you and your competitors it can be as little as a 5 to 10% difference. The key is to create a degree of separation in what you’re doing and in time you’re your degree of separation will grow into vast separation and become your competitive advantage.
Ask yourself what’s your competitive advantage? By asking the right questions you will find the right answers and your competitive advantage.
