Waiting is sometimes inevitable, but there are times when a buyer doesn't have to wait to purchase a home. In many cases, waiting becomes the choice of buyer, but it doesn't become the best choice for the buyer.
What does this all mean in the world of real estate? I'm glad you asked. Real estate is often about seizing the moment. In Latin, one would say, "Le carpe diem," which means, seize the day. Or, one might say, "grab the bull by the horns." No matter how you say it, the message is still the same and encourages an attitude of taking advantage of a present opportunity. It is a messgae of encouragement, one that invokes a posture of confidence and a "just do it" mentality.
There are homes for sale in Upper Marlboro, MD. There homes for sale throughout Prince Georges County Maryland and the state. There are homes for sale in Washington, DC, Virginia and across the country. That pretty much sums it up. There are homes for sale for every buyer in basically every real estate market around the country. What makes this more of an opportunity are the incredibly low prices and historically low interest rates.
As a real estate agent in Upper Marlboro, MD, I always tell buyers that there is no perfect time to buy a house. There is more of a right moment because no one can really guess where the real estate market will exactly be. Forecasts are made, but there are so many variables that impact the outcome of the market when a prediction is made. Therefore, it is important for buyers to look at the the real estate market where it is and assess the advantages that the real estate market offers right then and now. For example, you have two of the most important factors in buying a home in alignment in the current real estate market. Due to the interest rates and home prices being extremely low, buyers have the biggest advantage to buying more home for less money. Also, this gives buyers the chance to buy a home with a lower monthly mortgage payment than they would possibly have in another real estate market.
As far as I see, home prices are not going to get too much lower, espcially in the real estate market where I live and work. According to a new home builder sales person, "sale prices in their community were not going to get any lower, and if anything, the prices might begin to shift upward." Right now in this community, you can buy a fully loaded three level home for under $400,000. This is a steal for a new construction home for sale in Upper Marlboro, MD. Bascially, this a give away to the smart buyer who decides to purchase this home.
If you are a buyer and have the opportunity to buy a home now, it is probably in your best interest to do so while the opportunity to buy more for less is still true. Otherwise, if a buyer waits to gauge the market as if its going to bring even better advantages, then he or she might not get results that increase buying power. Just the opposite might happen. The real estate market is not a fixed item and it fluctuates due to many factors. There is another saying, "get it while the fire is still hot."
