Here is some Main Line real estate sales data for the last quarter of 2011 for different townships along the Main Line.
As you can see average prices per square foot are all lower compared to one year ago. So if anyone tells you that Main Line real Estate is invulnerable to the current housing crisis they don't know what they are talking about.

Currently sellers in Haverford and Tredyffrin seem to be getting prices closest to their asking price although that price has fallen per sq foot over the year steadily each quarter in Haverford whilst in Tredyffrin they have been up and down. Highest price per square foot this quarter was obtained in Lower Merion Township at $211 per square foot which also had the most sales for this quarter just beating out Haverford Township both being up in the 80's. Days on market have increased although some homes do sell quickly, and it is all about pricing your home correctly, over pricing in this market is a sure way to be a just listed and not a just sold home owner.
