More food, this time for a good cause

Real Estate Agent with The Corcoran Group Real Estate Co.

My last entry had to do with Long Island Restaurant week. I hope you all enjoyed at least one good meal out there. Keeping positive, my personal favorite of the three restaurants we visited was Blackwell's in Wading River. The choices were great, and the meal was excellent, and the plates were full (my most important criteria!)

Speaking of food, the Eastport Fire Department will be hosting Buffet Breakfasts on Sunday mornings during November. The dates remaining are the 18th and 25th. The Ladies Auxiliaryof Eastport and the Eastport Junior Fire Department are inviting everyone to visit the firehouse on Union Ave. for an opportunity to get out and see your neighbors, have breakfast, and most importantly, help someone in need.

Money raised will be sent to the Bayside Fire Department located in Saint Louis, Mississippi, whose equipment and firehouse were devastated during Hurricane Katrina.

The money will go directly to the purchase of equipment and supplies.

The Eastport FD has officially "adopted" Bayside FD, and last year raised nearly $10,000 to help get them up and running again.

So let's show support to our volunteers and help those in Mississippi. You can get your tickets at the door, $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children 5 to 12, kids younger than 5 eat free.
