Kingman Arizona Economy and General Information

Kingman Arizona has been known for the last 120 years with a long history of being right in and on a major trade route.  First by Native American then gold seeker and wagon trains which led to the reilrod and a present day web of highways including Route 66, Interstate 40 and Highway 93 all complemented with a modern day airport.  Because of this natural path of commerece to and from California, Kingman Arizona has enjoyed accommodating shippers.

There a numerous distribution centers and manufacturers which no call Kingman Arizona home, largely due to this strategic location as well as low Arizona taxes and attractive land prices.  Several dozen businesses are located at the Airport industrial park which is located just 4 miles north of 1-40 on Route 66. Among some of the companies are True Value Distribution, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co, Guardian Fiberglass Inc, Northstar Steel and Americian Woodmark Corp. In Golden Valley you can find Nucor Steel and other various trucking firms. 

All utilities are available with railway, air, interstate trucking and 4500 acres zoned industrial.

In Kingman Arizona proper you will find several shopping centers conveniently located on Andy Devine (RT66) just north of I-40 and stockton Hill Rd.  Sprinkled throughout Kingman Arizona are various strip centers and at least a dozen antique stores and many additional specialty stores. Major employers in Mohave County Government center, Kingman Regional Medical Center, MTC, Mohave Community College, Kingman unified School District, Laron Engineering, Wal Mart and many services and retail companies.  Adding to our economy are the many services catering to the ever increasing tourist trade. Where else can you be within 400 miles or so many natural wonders and tourist attractions?

Kingman Arizona is also a National Association of Development Organization award winning Arizona Regional Economic Development Inc accredited community.

Our Climate and Topography is considered a high desert community stiuated at an elecvation of 3340 feet above sea level. Our climate provides a dry, healthy, near pollen free clean air.  Nights in and around Kingman Arizona are moderate, clear, clean and star studded. When you come out to visit look at all the stars!.  Kingman is nestled between several mountian ranges and is approximately 30 miles east of the Nevada border formed by the Colorado River.  The Cerbat Mountains run north out of Kingman with Stockton Hill at 5938 feet and Mt Tipton at 7128 ft.  The Black Mountain Range separates the Colorado River and the Sacramento Valley just west of Kingman and the Hualapai Mountains rise southeast of town to 8416ft.  The Peacock Mountain reach a height of 6292 ft at the southesat protion of the Hualapai Valley which is Northeast of Kingman.  With our warm dry climate, sunny days and minimal precipitation Kingman is a great place to enjoy your days outdoor.
