Managing Real Estate Broker with The Butler Team at Brokers Realty of CFI

For starters, if you go for “For Sale by Owner”, FSBO, you’ll only get your place in front of buyer’s seeing it in the newspaper, Craigslist or by driving by the house. Getting a progressive real estate agent, you’ll have the advantage of being exposed to more buyers, through the multiple listing services and a database of buyers. Progressive agents have thousands of potential buyers, i.e., lead generating systems, internet and referral bases that out weight an FSBO. In real estate, marketing is everything!

A good progressive agent knows all the in’s and out’s of buying and selling, they will walk you through every step of the process. Many researchers have found that between pricing and lack of negotiating skills, it can cost you more than paying their commission.

Let your top notch agent do all the hard work for you, you’ll be much happier in the long run!

Great points on why FSBO's should hire an agent!

Does anyone have any stats on how many FSBOs actually sell without an agent?

Thanks for the post!

You are correct... A realtor can market the house all over the internet, blog about it too plus they are experts on the local market.
