CrumbTracks: iPhone/iPod/iPad app to stay organized when seeing many real estate properties

CrumbTracks: iPhone/iPod/iPad app for organizing photos/videos/info during property search

It’s described as “the first iPhone app that allows you to store, organize, annotate and share photos AND VIDEOS you take during your search for a new home!”

According to CrumbTracks, this is  compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.1 or later.

I usually print copies of the MLS listings that I show clients, and then ask them to make notes on what we see. This app could be a tremendous helps.

In the “olden days”...

When we lived in Orlando and were looking to buy  a house, my REALTOR gave me a map where I would track where we’ve been, what we’ve seen. That was before the internet. But I have to admit that after seeing so many houses, I lost track of what we saw and what my impressions were.

Today’s technology takes us to a new level --- I’ve had clients with smartphone take photos and videos.  and CrumbTracks is an app that may help iphone/ipod/ipad users.

IPad may be great, but consider an android tablet where you can download MLS listings, flash videos, documents, etc and essentially be a walking office.

I agree that the iphone/ipad/ipod have some limitations -- lack of flash one of them -- but there are always some ways to get around those. Just nice to know that there are so many apps for them.

Oh, our MLS has mobile applications where we can download MLS listings. And we can download all kinds of documents (icloud, dropbox, etc), google docs, too. Thank goodnes for all the possibiities!

Hi Pacita - Thanks for the tip - that looks like an interesting and useful app. Mary & I will both check it out later today - we're always interested in anything that might help us be less of a disorganized mess.

Dick --- any app related to real estate is worth looking into, whether we use it or not. At least we're aware of them, and can talk intelligently with our clients who are app-savvy.

Norma -- good luck. Hope your clients like it.

Geri -- it's definitely worth checking out. I used to have map --- this way, the clients will have all the info they need, and paperless!

One that I just discovered, though a little glitchy, well worth it. It is a browser that allows you to visit sites that use Adobe Flash. (Lots of training videos are done that way) It is called iSwifter and it is only $4.99.

Then another app that is pretty awesome is AgentAid, (Gives you the ability to sign contracts on your iPad) it is an app that is free to download, you can upload your first contract for free, then you upload the other one or two contracts you use all the time for $4.99 each. I've been using it for months and have only spent $14.97. Figure the only time I will have to upload another contract is when the MLS updates the contract. Much better than the $16.99 a month that I was being charged by Docusign to do the same thing.

THanks, Todd

I'm debating whether I will upgrade to the new ipad, or stick with my MacAir. I rarely bring my ipad because the MacAir is so light, and have more functionality than the ipad (because I have my own modem/MiFi).

I can understand that, I'm not a big fan of apple other than their iPhone and iPad, but I still have others trying to convert me to the dark side.
