Take Me Down Country Roads...
Looking at photos while rummaging through my hard drives and recent drives down some of the "Back Roads" here in Williamson County, TN awakend me to the fact that, what used to be a pleasant country drives along farm strewn lanes, is quickly becoming more helter-skelter traffic as urban sprawl takes over the once verdant country. While I realize that growth is inevitable, it is sad to see farms where I used to bird hunt, is now the latest subdivision.
The good thing is that I can take trips down memory lane as I gaze into some of my old pictures...
Good Morning Michael, I love your photo and how the light is shining through the heavy cover. You did an excellent job of framing the photo. Have an awesome weekend!
My old Boy Scout camp as a kid, which was a wooded area on a hill amid many farms, is now a huge development and unrecognizable. But better that than building up like Hong Kong!
Very cool photo Sir Michael. You just happen to be in some of the best places just at the right time. Stay warm I know it's going to b cold outside
Awesome job on that photo. Very good eye! It would be interesting (but very sad) if you would do a before and after series. You could go back and revisit those pictures to see how much has changed and how much beauty we have lost to growth.
Unbelievable photo. Sure makes one want to be walking down that road! It is a perfect example of memory lane. Enjoy your day!
Good Morning Michael, Your verse says it all..."Take me down country roads"...stunning!
Michael ....That's an amazing photo ...you just had to be in the right place at the right time!
Have a great day in Nashville!
IIt would be easy to picture someone appearing out of the fog like in a horror movie or walkingaway never to be seen again.
Michael, I like this memory lane for sure...may the weekend be filled with sunlight!
Michael, I can relate to the walk down memory lane! I like looking at the photo albums of past and the digital photo's on the hard drive. It is just hard to believe how many years of digital, it seems like yesterday!
This is one of my first digital Photo's !The little fellow in this photo is my grandson who we raised. He is now 19 years old. The little girl is his sister and they both accompany me at the computer for the memory lane laughs!
Big Scorpio - urban sprawl is bound to happen and it's really sad to see picturesque land like this turn into a subdivision, but it's bound to happen. I love the way you captured the light coming through the trees - it gives it a spiritual quality.
Love the way the sunlight is peaking in through the trees in this one Michael. Great photo... as always.
I love your photograph. Well done!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Michael....you're right we have our photos to remember how things were and to capture moments we wanted to save.
Cheers
Michael, your picture is evidence of a God for me... it just seems so peaceful
The memories good and bad help mold who we have become. Missing one portion of what we have been through as difficult as they may be takes away from our character. This is one memory worth relishing. Thanks for sharing a take your breath away moment in your life. Absolutely beautiful!
