Ordered Seed for Lexington's Green Thumb Realtor Give Away in April

Today I finished putting together my seed order for this coming spring.  I am hiring a local farmer, Tim Vetter to grow my plants this year.  I have run out of room in my propagation center.   So when it comes time for the Big Spring Plant Give Away hopefully I will have enough plants for all my clients and friends and family.

I ordered everything from either Fedco Seeds or Johnny's.  Fedcos prices are better, in my opinion the best of all the seed companies.  However Fedco does  not have as many flowers and specific varieties.

For instance  my wife's favorite flower is the Zinnia.  Johnny's has some 13 specific varieties of the Benary's Giant Series.  Fedco only has two varieties available and a mix.

Fedco also saves you money because they do not charge shipping and they also give you a ten percent discount if the order is over a $100.00 and fifteen percent if it is over $200.00

I am looking forward to a great spring.

Sounds like a good idea Paul.  How do you give the plants away, do you deliver or do they come and pick up?

Hi Christine,

I have too many people to give plants to now so I am going to let have a friend grow them for me and we will be having a potluck at his organic farm.  My clients and friends will be able to order 5 or six plants and then come to my friends farm to pick them up.  We will have a potluck together and some time for a couple of gardening demonstrations and they can leave with their plants.  It is a great way to connect and give something of value to my clients and friends.
